Who processes your data
The data controller is Simone Forcina, VAT number IT03240150593, Via Altomuro 39, 04023 Formia (LT), Italy. For any request about your data, write to hello@simoneforcina.com.
What data I collect and why
Contact forms. On the Contact page and in the form at the bottom of the pages I ask for your name, surname, company, email and message; the site also records the IP address the request comes from. I use this data only to reply to you and, if a commission follows, for the discussions that precede it. The legal basis is your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); the IP address protects the form from abuse, on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). The message is kept in the site’s back office and also reaches me by email.
Blog comments. To comment I ask for your name, surname, email, text and, if you wish, a rating; the site also records your IP address. I send you an email with a link to confirm your address, and I read the comment before publishing it. I publish your name, surname, text and rating; your email never appears. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the box.
Browsing. Like any website, the server records technical data about visits, such as IP address and browser, to run the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f)).
The form fields are optional, but without an email address I cannot reply.
How long
Messages are kept for as long as it takes to handle the request and any commission that follows, then deleted. Comments stay for as long as they are published, or until you ask me to remove them. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in my Google account.
Cookies
Technical, always on. A session cookie remembers your chosen language and protects the forms; it is deleted when you close the browser. The cookie_consent cookie remembers your choice about analytics cookies for one year. These need no consent.
Analytics, only if you accept. If you accept from the banner, the site loads Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand in aggregate how the site is used. If you decline, they are not loaded.
You can change your mind at any time:
Who else sees the data
The site is hosted by Netsons, which keeps the data on servers in Italy. Google provides Analytics and Tag Manager, if you accept, and the site’s typefaces, loaded from its servers: for this reason Google receives your IP address. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. I do not sell or pass on your data to anyone.
Your rights
You can ask me to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format or object to its processing (Articles 15-22 GDPR), and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@simoneforcina.com. If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, garanteprivacy.it.
