Biography
Dear readers, i am Simone Forcina and I am a Designer working in the field of communication and visual strategy.
I was born in Italy on 5 May '89, where I currently live.
My life path as a designer began at the age of 7 when I was struck by the paintings and illustrations present in my family's business and began imitating their traits, drawing with a blue Bic on small multicoloured post-it notes present next to the cash register.
Later attracted by the artistic carpentry structures built by my father, intrigued by the tools and materials, my attention shifted to the construction of small structures made with makeshift materials and rudimentary techniques, what we would now call primitive building.
In later life, my passion for art, design and the creation of objects and miniatures helped me in my schooling, especially in humanities, design and art subjects.
I continued with higher studies in art and architecture and during the same period in contact with like-minded personalities I developed skills in the use of photo manipulation software.
At the age of 17, with great enthusiasm, I developed my first paid editorial job, thus beginning my journey into the world of visual arts. Later, the quality of the results achieved in the creation of visual works triggered in me a strong need to understand the how and why of those results.
In 2009, I began my studies at the European Institute of Design in Rome, where the teachers, more than teachers, pearls, true professionals of the sector and the multidisciplinary context made up of young people ready to share knowledge and skills of their educational branch, contributed to my educational and cultural growth.
After obtaining my European degree in Visual Communication Design, my hunger for knowledge and curiosity led me to study and delve into subjects useful for my professional evolution, such as psychology, contemporary art history, chemistry, physics, creative writing, marketing and architecture.
Today, my Design is luxury oriented, because I pay attention to detail, searching for deep meaning, which is gracefully expressed to an audience capable of understanding intrinsic concepts and messages.
It is my favourite sector because like me it wants to express itself in ways that are far removed from banality.
What I aim for
My ultimate aim is the attainment of a superior culture and consciousness to persist over time.
I currently seek temples of knowledge where experienced professionals in multidisciplinary fields such as communication, design, architecture, fashion, art and engineering, share knowledge and collaborate in symbiotic synergy for the development of innovative projects that can positively influence the next generations.
Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Merisi, Oliviero Toscani, Ennio Morricone, David Ogilvy, Federico Fellini, Paul Rand, Massimo Vignelli, Stanley Kobrick, Stephan Sagmeister, Quentin Tarantino, Steve Jobs and other excellences of the context, are my guiding star and I hope that one day my knowledge will also be a useful legacy for other designers.
