Dr Agresti

The strategic premise
Dr Daniele Agresti’s practice speaks to children between four and nine and to their parents, and it needed a useful tool, one that would explain prevention and dental care in a calm and slightly magical language, made of wooden toys, soft colours and everyday objects.

The first sketches
The sketches are in pencil, the doctor walking with the child, the mouth with its little teeth, the toothbrush and the objects of daily hygiene, the characters who then live on the pages.

Development
The format comes from the die line, a folder that becomes an ice lolly when closed, so a child picks it up like a toy and not like an instruction leaflet; open, it spreads the content across a cross of panels.

The system
The system brings together line icons for oral hygiene, soft and legible typefaces, a palette of light blue, aqua and coral, and cut-out photographs of the doctor, who moves through the pages like a character.

Applications
The printed brochure opens like a game, panel after panel, and gives parents information on prevention in the same tone it uses with their children; beside the brochure appears the soft toy the doctor uses in the practice to reassure young patients.

The outcome
The result is a tool a child wants to hold, and for that very reason it also brings parents the information that really matters.
Let us talk about it, or keep exploring the rest of the work.
